Robin Hood

I saw the new ‘Robin Hood’ yesterday, and Thought that I’d tell you all that it was awesome! To give a fuller review requires the use of spoilers, So if you really want to see the movie yourself, and don’t want to know what happens, stop reading now!!

—————————————SPOILERS BELOW!!——————————————–

Ridley Scott is getting better with every movie he makes. Personally, I loved the spin that he put on Robin Hood, and considering the events that led up to Robin’s becoming an outlaw. Russell Crowe performed wonderfully as the common, yet noble in character, archer.

Some of the themes the movie addresses hit me really hard. Between the injustice that was apparent throughout the movie (culminating in the attempt to create civil war by slaughtering villages in the name of King John), and the importance placed apon courage (both of nobles and commons, men and women) this movie was full of incredible examples both for future sermons, and for life in general.

That’s all I really want to say. Make sure that you see this movie, it’s worth the $15 (at hoyts on a student ticket), and it would be nice to have people to talk to about it.
